In 2002, Mr. Wilson simultaneously started WILSON DESIGN & CONSULTING GROUP and ALL KIDS PLAY DESIGNS. Both of these companies quickly became well-known industry brands and enjoyed strong growth through the first decade of the millennium. 

WILSON DESIGN & CONSULTING GROUP has designed and/or constructed over 350 FECs, CEC’s, Soft Modular Play Structures and Miniature Golf Courses. We have extensive capabilities in DESIGN for all areas pertaining to Family Entertainment Centers, especially Indoor facilities. This includes overall Design, Themeing, Soft Structure Play Equipment, Climbing Walls, Redemption and Laser Tag, including equipment procurement and attraction specification.

DAVID WILSON has been personally providing professional consulting services to the family & child entertainment industry and other businesses since 1992. He has designed and consulted on over 350 indoor and outdoor projects, totaling over $116 million in estimated project build-out costs. The WILSON DESIGN & CONSULTING GROUP has provided feasibility studies, designs, demographic analysis, business plan preparation, project budgeting, profit and loss studies, and ROI determination to almost one-third of those projects. David Wilson, Principal of the Wilson Group, has over 26 years of experience in the FEC industry. 

A Partnership with Justin Snow, former Long Snapper for the Indianapolis Colts, in 3 large SNAPPERZ Family Fun & Sports Centers has also given Mr. Wilson practical work history and real-time experience to aid in his consulting approach – having handled much of the financial management and overseeing day to day business operations though our General Manager.

Through all of his experiences, the most common mistake many of Wilson’s clients make is misjudging the budget. “What a client thinks will cost $300,000 …will in actuality cost $450,000,” says Wilson. “From the start, a client is forced to cut, reduce, alter, or change their vision. A consultant can play a major role in proper decision making and finding design or equipment options and still encompass the client’s vision.”
